Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster specialist in California. The role involves managing attorney-represented bodily injury claims, negotiating with claimants and attorneys, and settling claims with appropriate reserves.

A hybrid schedule requires four days per month in the office for meetings and training, with flexibility for more in-office time. Location options include Concord, Fresno, Irvine, Modesto, Pasadena, Riverside, San Diego and other CA cities.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• {OR} Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• {OR} Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.
• This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability.
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys.
• Settle claims and set reserves.
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents.
• Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution.
• Interview, collect and document information from claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police.
