Job summary

JSSA seeks a BI & Analytics Analyst / Data Engineer to lead end‑to‑end analytics, from data warehouse design in SQL Server to delivering polished Power BI reports. The role blends BI delivery with hands‑on data engineering and requires collaboration with stakeholders and data engineers to produce reliable, scalable insights.

The candidate should have 5–7+ years in BI/analytics, strong SQL/T‑SQL skills, Power BI expertise, and hands‑on experience with Wherescape and Azure data services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree highly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of experience in a BI, analytics, or data engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T‑SQL—including stored procedures, window functions, and query optimization.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining Power BI reports and semantic models (DAX, Power Query).
• Hands‑on experience with Wherescape OLAP solution.
• Experience with Azure data services (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Analysis Services).
• Experience integrating or working with EMR data (optional but helpful).
• Familiarity with star schema/dimensional modelling (Kimball a plus).
• Python for data wrangling or automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns end‑to‑end analytics lifecycle from data shaping to self‑service Power BI reports.
• Translates business requirements into clear analytical deliverables and manages stakeholders.
• Designs and maintains star schema data warehouse objects in SQL Server.
• Writes and maintains T‑SQL stored procedures, ETL pipelines, and DWH data loads.
• Develops and owns source‑to‑target mapping documentation for new data domains.
• Integrates data from source systems and ensures data quality and lineage.
• Supports self‑service analytics through well‑documented datasets and standards.
