Job summary

JMT Technology Group in Washington, DC area is seeking a BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions of medium to high complexity. You will transform raw data into insights and build scalable dashboards and reports that drive business decisions.

The role requires strong SQL, DAX/Power Query, and experience with tools like Tableau and Power BI. You will collaborate with stakeholders, mentor junior developers, and participate in CI/CD and data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience designing and developing Business Intelligence solutions.
• Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query.
• 2+ years of designing and developing SQL solutions.
• 1+ years of experience using Git-based source control and collaborative development practices.
• Experience with VS Code and command-line interfaces.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform business analysis to gather BI report requirements across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate into BI solutions.
• Design and develop ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery.
• Develop data marts using dbt to support enterprise reporting.
• Integrate data and reports with Tableau and Power BI.
• Mentor and support junior BI developers, providing guidance on best practices.
