Job summary

Ruan Transportation Management Systems in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. This role will be the first point of contact for team member questions about benefits and leaves, handling day-to-day tasks and cross-functional support.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary coverage on the HR Hotline answering team member questions and responding to requests regarding benefits and leave of absence.
• Monitor department inboxes and provide follow-up to questions and requests.
• Drafts and creates correspondence (letters, emails, fax) for benefits and leaves related inquiries and issues.
• Enter status updates, send documentation as needed, process documentation for Benefits and Leaves and enter in the system of record.
• Coordinate and communicate 401k, health, life and disability insurance enrollments with service providers concerning routine administration of programs.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
