Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a Benefits and Leave Administration Specialist to manage multi-state leave and disability cases from intake through return to work. You will coordinate with HR, Payroll, and vendors, support enrollment, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

The role covers health and welfare programs, leave verifications, and data accuracy across systems, with emphasis on confidentiality and excellent employee service.

Qualifications

• Experience administering benefits, leave, or disability across multiple states.
• Familiarity with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, USERRA.
• Ability to coordinate with HR, Payroll, Legal, and vendors.
• Strong documentation, confidentiality, and employee service.
• Knowledge of HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and vendor systems.

Responsibilities

• Manages multi-state leave and disability cases from intake through return to work.
• Coordinates leave status, pay, benefit continuation, and return-to-work planning with stakeholders.
• Monitors leave approvals, certifications, and intermittent usage; coordinates accommodations.
• Reconciles leave records across HRIS, payroll, vendor, and carrier systems.
• Administers health and welfare programs including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, and HSAs/FSAs.
