Job summary

Kelly Benefits in Sparks, MD is seeking an Account Manager II to retain and grow the client base by partnering with the Lead Consultant and Sr. Account Manager.

You will manage the day-to-day servicing of employee benefits accounts, coordinate enrollments and renewals, and ensure accurate client data across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary programs. This role supports AI-enabled workflows and Salesforce adoption with a hybrid schedule after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Life and Health Insurance licensed preferred, but at minimum, must attain within 60 days of hire date.
• 2+ years of employee benefits account management, benefits administration, insurance brokerage, or related experience.
• Experience working with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support complex clients including self-funded, level-funded, and fully insured benefit programs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned employee benefits clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Schedule regular client meetings to review benefits programs, service needs, and upcoming renewal activities.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve issues related to the client’s benefits package and carrier services.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and support client retention efforts.
• Coordinate enrollments, changes, terminations, and eligibility updates with carriers and vendors.
• Assist clients with employee communications, benefit education materials, and enrollment.
• Monitor account activity to ensure timely completion of service requests and deliverables.
• Contribute to the annual renewal process by collaborating with team members.
• Support the development and implementation of benefit plan strategies.
