Job summary

AOC Outreach Services in Houston, TX seeks compassionate LPC-A and LMSW therapists for our outpatient behavioral health team. This role provides individual, family, and child-focused therapy in office/outpatient and in-home settings.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and families and uses evidence-based approaches such as CBT, play therapy, trauma-informed care, and family therapy. Flexibility and collaboration with parents and schools are key.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or related field from an accredited program.
• Current LPC-Associate/LPC-A license in the applicable state.
• Must be eligible for and/or actively receiving clinical supervision toward independent licensure, as required by state regulations.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or behavioral health populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or child therapy in outpatient and in-home settings.
• Provide developmentally appropriate play therapy and therapeutic activities for children.
• Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
• Provide family therapy focused on improving communication, relationships, parenting skills, and family functioning.
• Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Establish measurable treatment goals and monitor client progress.
• Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered services.
• Address concerns including anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, trauma, grief, adjustment concerns, family conflict, and other mental health needs.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, physicians, case managers, and other members of the client's treatment team when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and discharge summaries.
• Maintain professional and ethical boundaries in accordance with applicable licensing requirements and organizational policies.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
• Provide crisis assessment and intervention within the scope of training, licensure, and organizational protocols.
