Job summary

Daimler Truck Financial Services is seeking a Solution Architect to design and drive the implementation of new IT solutions and manage service delivery of existing systems. The role requires hands-on expertise in building large-scale data management solutions and aligning with enterprise IT strategies.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer/Information Science or Information Technology; 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity.
• IT skills: application development, e-technologies/web, programming, middleware
• Hands-on experience implementing Web Services (RESTful).
• Hands-on experience with Java and J2EE Technologies.
• Experience conducting proof-of-concept, developing prototyping and building reference models.
• Experience building, configuring and deploying services on containers such as WebSphere, JBOSS and Tomcat.
• Deep knowledge of Microservices architecture.
• Practical debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with UI Frameworks – Angular and React
• Experience with Database Technologies like Postgres SQL
• In-depth knowledge of the MS Azure cloud environment
• Master’s degree in information technology
• Prior consulting experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Define and architect future technology landscape and roadmap. Work with IT and business partners to gather and document business requirements and translate them to design solutions in alignment with IT and Business strategic direction.
• Strategize, Design and build technical solutions.
• Oversee and address customer issues/tickets; monitor system SLA’s; address system issues by performing root cause analysis and eliminating repeat problems.
• Collaborate with other solution architects, DBAs and IT Infrastructure in the timely resolution and prevention of future incidents.
• Work with IT Infrastructure teams to address issues and implement system upgrades with minimal impact to business continuity.
• Work closely with IT Security team to follow data security guidelines.
• Provide support for various audits, compliance activities and ensure IT governance, IT security, and Corporate Policies are followed.
• Keep up to date on newer frameworks and architecture in emerging technologies.
