Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid role in Bethesda, MD. You will design, build, and operate secure, scalable Azure infrastructure, leading architecture and day-to-day management of Azure environments.

You will implement IaC, enhance secure cloud networking, and drive backup and disaster recovery strategies while collaborating with development, security, and operations teams on cloud-native and serverless solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud engineering initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Azure environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in IaC practices along with deep knowledge of Azure networking, resiliency planning, and security frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure-native recovery tools and modern application ecosystems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and successfully complete a government background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and day-to-day management of Azure environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance across core infrastructure components
• Develop and enforce automated provisioning practices using Infrastructure as Code to standardize and streamline deployments
• Establish and enhance secure cloud networking designs, enabling controlled connectivity for both platform services and application workloads
• Drive resilience efforts by implementing and validating backup and disaster recovery strategies aligned with business continuity goals
• Partner cross-functionally with development, security, and operations teams to support modern cloud-native and serverless solutions
