Job summary

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. (Fortitude Re) is seeking an AVP, Financial Close Leader based in Nashville on a hybrid schedule. The role directs enterprise-wide financial processes, manages the Finance Strategic Management System, and coordinates with PwC on audit activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in finance/business/accounting.
• 7+ years in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of (re)insurance or financial markets.
• Experience with audit processes and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Finance Process Strategic Ownership: develop and execute strategic initiatives with VP to accelerate deliverables.
• Manage Finance Strategic Management System aligning with goals and tracking issues.
• Oversee end-to-end finance program, maintain calendar, and communicate milestones.
• Proactively communicate deliverables, resolve issues, document processes.
• Drive cross-finance projects with execution plans and timely completion.
• Support leadership with strategic plan adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to track follow-ups and ensure closures.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics to identify process improvements.
• Develop executive communications and presentations for various stakeholders.
• Support monthly audit and board reporting preparations.
• Maintain intranet content for Finance team accuracy.
• Engage stakeholders to align messaging across the org.
• Audit plan development and coordination with audit committee.
