Job summary

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. is seeking an AVP, Financial Close Leader to direct enterprise-wide financial processes across regions from our Jersey City hybrid office.

You will coordinate audits with PwC, manage the Finance Strategy system, and lead cross-functional engagements to ensure data-driven operations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and 7+ years in insurance or financial services, with strong communication and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting preferred.
• 7+ years of professional experience in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of (re)insurance or other financial markets.
• Knowledge of audit processes and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as someone who interacts with team members.

Responsibilities

• Finance Process Strategic Ownership: Work closely with the VP, Strategic Finance to develop and execute strategic initiatives to accelerate financial deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Program Management of Finance Activities: Maintain a comprehensive finance calendar, host status calls, and communicate progress against milestones.
• Communication and Collaboration: Develop executive communications & presentations and coordinate with Data & Analytics and other Finance teams.
• Audit Coordination: Support development and coordination of a comprehensive audit plan and liaise with PwC for audit activities.
• What You Will Have: Bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of experience, knowledge of (re)insurance and regulatory compliance.
