Job summary

CAE in Dublin is seeking an Avionic Design Engineer to support the production of approved design documentation within an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will ensure designs and documents comply with airworthiness and environmental protection requirements in a permanent, hybrid role.

You will produce design documentation, substantiation materials, test plans, and engineering analyses, while liaising with compliance engineers and project teams to drive

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience on aircraft electrical or avionic systems.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical/avionics systems.
• Experience producing or reviewing technical engineering documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical and airworthiness requirements.
• Ability to manage design activities and priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and collaboration skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Hybrid work arrangement in Dublin, two to three days on site.

Responsibilities

• Produce EASA Part 21J design documentation within the scope of the Design Organisation’s approval.
• Ensure engineering documents meet airworthiness and environmental requirements.
• Compile substantiation documentation for electrical and avionic airworthiness.
• Prepare test plans and test reports.
• Create compliance statements, checklists, and engineering analyses.
• Prepare design documentation and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
• Create engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Manage design change projects from initiation to completion.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and project stakeholders.
