Job summary

JSM Consulting Inc. is seeking a System Engineer to join its client’s team in Ann Arbor, MI. You will design, develop, integrate, and validate system-level software for automotive platforms, focusing on C++, embedded firmware, and Linux real-time systems.

You will collaborate with systems engineering, product, and global teams to deliver scalable, reliable software across in-vehicle domains. This onsite/hybrid role requires strong collaboration and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• MBSE with SysML/UML to document system and software architectures.
• Experience with safety-critical automotive software (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR).
• Understanding of vehicle networking and ADAS architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement software for automotive platforms.
• Develop and maintain system-level software components with focus on C++ and embedded firmware.
• Enhance middleware, IPC frameworks, and scheduling for vehicle services.
• Support architectures enabling rapid feature deployment across in-vehicle domains.
• Create system design specs including state machines and testable requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and system-level issues.
• Support system integration, validation, and feature deployment across distributed platforms.
