Ford Motor Company seeks a System Integration Engineer - Body Controls in Dearborn, Michigan. The role is hybrid, requiring both remote and on-site work within commuting distance.

You will design and implement scalable embedded C software for bare-metal and RTOS, enforce MISRA/C standards, and debug with standard tools to ensure robust firmware. You will lead requirements analysis, work with MATLAB/Simulink to develop control algorithms, and drive extensive testing in a Hardware-in-the-Loop

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering or related field with 5 years of progressive experience.
• 5 years of experience with Model Based Design (MBD) lifecycle.
• 5 years deriving software requirements and architecture from system specs using Jama and Jira.
• 5 years implementing control algorithms with MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
• 5 years creating unit tests and performing coverage in Simulink Test.
• 5 years integrating software components and MIL/MIL regression testing.
• Experience with GitHub for version control and lifecycle management.
• 3 years authoring unit tests in Simulink Test.
• 3 years using Simulink coverage for MC/DC.
• 3 years using Jira for requirements and test tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable software architectures in Embedded C for bare-metal and RTOS environments.
• Manage memory constraints and optimize code for speed and power.
• Enforce MISRA C / CERT C through static analysis and code reviews.
• Debug firmware with logic analyzers, scopes, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
• Translate system requirements into software level requirements and SD Designs.
• Develop tests in HIL environments and lead integration testing.
• Act as power user of GitHub for version control and Jira for sprint tracking.
• Domestic Travel Required up to 10%.
