Job summary

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Test Engineer, Programmer/Developer, or related role.
• Two (2) years of experience with Propulsion systems, ADAS, Chassis, Electrification or other electrical automotive control systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute control functions partitioning and interfaces designs to fulfill electrical system requirements.
• Interact with domains within vehicle electrical controls environment (Propulsion, ADAS, Chassis, Body Electronics, etc.).
• Create system design readiness documents and deploy to ECUs to achieve functionality.
• Perform System Design Readiness Modeling within Domain Analysis and Diagnostics.
• Define Serial Data Impact of signals on CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• High-level partitioning of infrastructure models for internal ECU SW applications.
• Document system design with UML tools (IBM Rational Rhapsody).
• Participate in RAD and GSSLT meetings; track status over CRs and approvals.
• Support stakeholders per configuration management rules; review modeling fidelity.

The scope of responsibilities requires to get interaction and involvement with all domains within a vehicle electrical controls environment such as: Propulsion (Internal Combustion Engines as well Electrical Machines) High Voltage Batteries Systems Active Safety Autonomous Driving Body Electronics Infotainment Telematics and Chassis Controls. Create system design readiness documents that translates the requirements into system components that are then deployed to the ECUs in the best way to achieve the electrical system functionality. Perform System Design Readiness Modeling activities within the Domain Analysis of the Functional Subsystems and Diagnostic requirements Define Serial Data Impact of the signals transmitted and received on different networks including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet. Perform high level partitioning of the infra structure standard utility models that ultimately comprehend the internal ECU SW application for security and safety interfaces. Document the system design trough UML Tool (IBM Rational Rhapsody). Define network signals and deploy the structured Components in the applicable electronics module’s models. Participate in weekly Requirements Architecture Development (RAD) meetings and Global Sub System Leadership Team (GSSLT) meetings to follow up and keep track of status over Change Requests (CR’s) and get stakeholders approvals. Support groups of stakeholders according to the configuration management rules (RTC CRs) Execute reviews of the modeling to guarantee fidelity of the system design submitted and agreed by the stakeholders.
