Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Safety Investigations Engineer to support the Automotive Safety Office's Pre-Investigation Review (PIR) team or Vehicle Hardware Critical Concern Review Group (CCRG). You will evaluate issues for potential safety defects or regulatory non compliance and coordinate with multiple Ford organizations.

You will help determine escalation paths, develop tests and surveys, and prepare engineering analyses and regulatory documentation while maintaining comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 1+ year engineering/quality/project management experience.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Support safety investigations process within PIR or CCRG.
• Lead collaborative interactions with Ford organizations (PD, FCD, STS, MFG, OGC).
• Develop broad range of contacts across the company for root-cause ownership.
• Coordinate tests, field surveys, and data collection for safety/regulatory issues.
• Prepare presentations and reports for technical and leadership discussions.
• Create and maintain investigation documentation and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain trackers, dashboards, and status reports across multiple investigations.
