Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation invites motivated students to join a 10‑week paid Automation Programmer Intern program, with locations in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX. You’ll engage across teams, contribute to project work, learn organization processes, and help develop solutions leveraging your coding and data skills.

You will build competency in C#, VB.NET, SQL, and Visual Basic while addressing real business needs, delivering a final presentation, and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge or experience in C#, VB.NET, SQL and Visual Basic.
• Practical PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in HCSC’s formal internship program, supporting business objectives.
• Work with cross‑functional teams in both business and technical areas on project work.
• Learn and apply aspects of the organization's processes, programs, and technologies.
• Develop and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable policies.
