Job summary

HCSC invites you to a 10-week paid internship in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX. You will engage with cross-functional teams, contribute to project work, and learn through a mentored program that applies Java, VB, and SQL to real business needs.

Develop professional skills via orientation, networking, and workshops, while maintaining HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree; rising senior in computer science, information technology, or information management.
• Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Available for the full duration of the 10-week program.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the formal internship program with cross-functional teams.
• Support project work, analyze information, and help develop solutions addressing business objectives.
• Learn and apply org processes, programs, and technologies with increasing independence.
• Design, test, and implement automation solutions using Java, Visual Basic, or other approved software; provide user support.
• Own components of project work with mentor and manager guidance.
• Conduct research, analyze data, and develop recommendations informing real business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support initiatives that improve business outcomes and member/client experiences.
• Deliver a final internship presentation to leadership covering results and recommendations.
