Job summary

Aston Carter in Plymouth, MI is seeking a Production & Supply Chain Coordinator to manage assigned customer accounts and coordinate between customers, production, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring on-time delivery from launch through end-of-life.

The role requires at least 2 years of automotive logistics experience, proficiency with ERP and EDI, and strong analytical and communication skills. This is a hybrid position with three days on-site and two remote, offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, purchasing, production control, or material planning.
• Proficiency with ERP systems for order management, forecasting, and inventory control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and identify trends and issues.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary logistics contact for assigned customer accounts and build professional relationships.
• Receive, process, and manage customer production, service, and prototype orders from request to delivery.
• Ensure accurate order entry, updates, and maintenance within the ERP system.
• Learn, document, and maintain customer-specific requirements related to delivery, scheduling, and order processing.
• Coordinate logistics support throughout product lifecycle from prototype to mass production and end-of-life.
• Monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and material flow to support uninterrupted operations.
• Coordinate product launches and mass production build-outs with manufacturing and internal teams.
• Support trial builds and prototype events with customers and facilities, ensuring materials and logistics are in place.
