Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Audit Project Manager to support internal audits with a third-party partner. The role involves coordinating audit activities, preparing work papers, and developing audit reports to aid management decisions.

The position is hybrid, requiring in-office work two days per week and as needed. A Bachelor's in a related field is required, with 3 years of audit experience; CIA/CPA credentials are preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, information systems or related area.
• 3 years audit experience required.
• Master's Degree or professional certification as a CIA or CPA is preferred.
• Healthcare or higher education industry experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between UTSW and the selected third-party Internal Audit partner to perform internal audits, follow-up reviews and consulting engagements relative to UTSW operations.
• Coordinate audit activities on behalf of the selected third-party Internal Audit partner, including access requests, stakeholder introductions, and scheduling meetings.
• Prepares and reviews audit programs and work papers to ensure findings and recommendations are documented and audit work is performed to auditing standards and policies.
• Develops and reviews audit reports or memoranda to support audit conclusions and provide summaries of consulting engagements for management and the board.
• Performs data analytics as part of internal audits, investigations, continuous monitoring or upon special requests.
• Conducts meetings with clients, UTSW administration and department personnel to discuss audits and system implementations; maintains effective relations with clients.
