Job summary

DUAL North America is seeking an Associate Underwriter for the E&S Property division in Chicago. The role supports underwriters with submissions, risk analysis, and broker communications throughout the underwriting life cycle.

Expectation is 0–1 year of insurance experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong Microsoft Office skills. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business or related field preferred.
• 0–1 year underwriter or insurance experience.
• Foundational knowledge of insurance principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Process submissions by providing account triage for Underwriters.
• Provide backup support for Underwriters when traveling in the market.
• Gather and compile information required to quote and/or bind an account.
• Generate, edit, and send out a variety of correspondence on behalf of the Underwriters such as declination letters, quote follow ups and subjectivity reminders.
