Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. seeks an Associate Underwriter for E&S Property in Chicago, offering a hybrid work model at 1 South Wacker Drive. You will assist with submissions, quotes, and binding while supporting brokers and underwriters to manage non-standard risks.

The role develops underwriting skills with a pathway toward authority, and requires 0–1 year underwriting exposure, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business or related field.
• 0–1 year underwriter or insurance experience.
• Foundational knowledge of insurance principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process submissions by providing account triage for Underwriters.
• Provide backup support for Underwriters when traveling in the market.
• Gather and compile information required to quote and/or bind an account.
• Generate, edit, and send out correspondence on behalf of the Underwriters.
