Job summary

Marx Okubo in Denver is seeking an Associate Architect to join our national architecture/engineering/construction consulting team. You will act as a technical team member and project lead on building envelope reviews and post-occupancy evaluations.

The role covers most commercial building types, with a hybrid work model (2 days in office, on-site visits as needed, remote work other days) and travel about 25–50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; licensure preferred
• 7–12 years industry-related experience
• Knowledge of building types and construction processes
• Understanding of accessibility standards (FFHA and ADA)
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Box
• Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical team member and project lead
• Collaborate within a Marx Okubo project team on building envelope reviews and evaluations
• Build rapport with client, internal team, consultants and site contact
• Learn and convey an overall understanding of the clients' projects
• Review and analyze building construction and condition; perform evaluations
• Review contract documents including drawings, specifications, contracts, and budgets
• Prepare formal reports
• Travel to client sites and office as needed; 25-50%
