Job summary

Marx Okubo Associates, Inc. in Denver seeks an Associate Architect to join our national architecture/engineering/construction practice.

You will lead technical work, collaborate on building envelope reviews, and support teams across commercial building types, including multi-family, office, retail, industrial, and hospitality. The role is hybrid: two days in the office, site visits as needed, with work-from-home options for the rest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture.
• 7–12 years industry experience preferred.
• Understanding of construction processes, activities and scheduling.
• Construction administration, project management or owner's representative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of building enclosures, structures and systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical team member and project lead.
• Collaborate on building envelope reviews and evaluations in design, construction, and post-occupancy phases.
• Build rapport with clients and project teams.
• Develop understanding of client projects and provide support.
• Review construction documents and budgets; prepare formal reports.
• Travel to client sites and offices locally and regionally (25–50%).
