Job summary

Topco Associates LLC in Itasca, IL is seeking an Associate Accounting Manager for a hybrid role, with three days in the Itasca office and two remote days per week. The position focuses on leading complex general accounting activities and supporting the month-end close and financial reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 5–6 years of accounting experience, and a CPA pathway is preferred. ERP experience, especially SAP, and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license, CPA eligibility, or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
• Five to six years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and external audit activities required.
• Experience reviewing the work of others or serving in an informal leadership capacity preferred.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex general accounting activities and mentor staff.
• Support month-end close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting.
• Support external audit activities and tax compliance.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Partner with FP&A, Sales Accounting, Treasury and other departments.
