Job summary

Michael Page partners with a well-known manufacturing company to hire an Accounting Manager in Illinois due to an internal promotion. This hands-on leadership role oversees day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and audit coordination to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

You will collaborate with operations, FP&A, and treasury, drive process improvements and automation, and provide timely insights to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 1+ year of public accounting experience, plus manufacturing experience.
• Experience supporting inventory accounting in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong Excel proficiency and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Develop monthly financial reporting packages, analyze operating results, and explain key variances.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure data accuracy.
