Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of utility infrastructure projects in a hybrid work model. You will liaise with engineering, construction, procurement, and client teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years in project management or related fields, with preference for gas utility experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project management, project engineering, construction management, engineering, or related utility/infrastructure environment.
• Experience in natural gas or electric utility projects is preferred, with LNG/CNG experience a plus.
• Familiarity with project management fundamentals: scope, schedule, cost, risk, change management, and project controls.
• Willingness to travel to client offices, facilities, and active project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with planning, coordination, and execution of utility projects.
• Support early project development activities, including scope, estimating, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate between engineering, construction, controls, procurement, permitting, operations, and client teams.
• Monitor and help manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
• Maintain project documentation and tracking tools (logs, minutes, change logs).
• Support development of schedules, cost forecasts, progress reports, and management reporting.
• Coordinate design deliverables to support construction milestones.
• Participate in meetings with project stakeholders; track action items and follow through.
