Job summary

At Babcock, a global FTSE 100 company, the Assistant Project Manager role offers hybrid work: 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, 37 hours per week, and exposure to the full project lifecycle across defence engineering.

You’ll support planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management, collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and procurement, and develop strong stakeholder relationships while aiming to deliver projects on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• Project Management qualification or equivalent experience (PFQ and/or PMQ desirable).

Responsibilities

• Supporting planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management activities across production programmes
• Coordinating work packages and monitoring progress to ensure delivery against agreed plans
• Working collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering and procurement teams to drive momentum
• Engaging with internal stakeholders to communicate progress, issues and mitigation actions
• Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance delivery performance
