Job summary

UBalt is seeking an Assistant Director of Donor Relations to lead donor communications, acknowledgments, and storytelling. The role supports university leadership with customized messages and impact narratives, ensuring timely recognition and brand-consistent materials.

The hybrid position requires collaboration across stewardship teams, strong writing and editing skills, and experience with donor management systems to advance the University’s fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of professional fundraising/donor relations experience.
• Experience interacting with donors, alumni or volunteers.
• Proven project management experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM donor management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage acknowledgment processes reflecting institutional priorities and donor relationships.
• Draft, edit, and refine acknowledgment templates and messages for university leadership.
• Curate student and program impact stories for stewardship communications.
• Oversee production and quality control of honor and memorial notifications and other recognition materials.
• Collaborate with Donor Engagement and Stewardship, Annual Giving, and Advancement Communications to shape messaging.
• Evaluate and document departmental processes to improve efficiency and accountability.
