Job summary

The University seeks an Assistant Director of Donor Relations to manage donor communications and acknowledgment strategy, ensuring timely, accurate recognition of philanthropic support. The role oversees acknowledgment correspondence for university leadership and curates donor impact stories aligned with the University style guides.

This hybrid position requires collaboration across advancement teams and hands-on project management of donor materials and communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of fundraising, development, alumni relations, donor relations, nonprofit management, or similar work.
• Experience interacting with donors, alumni and/or volunteers; proven project management; proficiency with MS Office and CRM donor systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage acknowledgment processes for timely, accurate donor correspondence reflecting priorities and relationships.
• Draft, edit, and refine acknowledgment templates and messages for university leadership.
• Curate and manage student and program impact stories for stewardship communications.
• Oversee production and quality control of honor and memorial notifications and other recognition materials.
• Collaborate with Donor Engagement and Stewardship, Annual Giving, and Advancement Communications to shape messaging and improve donor experience.
• Evaluate and document departmental processes to enhance efficiency and accountability.
