Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning for HV, BESS and PV assets. You will coordinate with the commissioning manager and specialists to ensure safe, compliant, fully operable systems.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence at job sites with partial remote work and travel as project needs dictate. The successful candidate will drive schedules, safety practices, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of testing and commissioning experience on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers and infrastructure.
• Experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team with guidance, training and support.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of each project.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures and milestone deliverables.
• Coordinate testing activities with OEMs and project teams (engineering, construction, QA).
• Develop and maintain integrated P6 testing/commissioning schedules updated weekly.
• Ensure all commissioning activities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
