Job summary

Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) is seeking an Asset Management Analyst to serve as the primary contact for multifamily portfolios in the Asset and Preservation Management Unit. The role focuses on financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and portfolio health to sustain long-term viability of housing investments.

The position requires substantial loan analysis experience and a strong GAAP understanding, with a hybrid work arrangement in Salem, OR.

Qualifications

  • Five years’ experience in either preparing or analyzing residential, commercial, or public sector loan applications using cash flow, financial statements, historical and annual operation analyses; including collections and foreclosure procedures; or Processing real estate transactions including qualifying, evaluating and extending credit to borrowers, and property inspections; or Marketing, analyzing, servicing or underwriting residential, commercial, or public sector loans; or Economic or community development.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economic, Finance, Accounting, or related field may substitute for three years of experience.
  • An Associate's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field may substitute for 18 months of the experience.

Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for the agency’s multifamily housing portfolios in the Portfolio Administration Section’s Asset and Preservation Management Unit.
  • Review, analyze and evaluate audited financial statements and other financial reporting to ensure long-term viability and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure project operations comply with restrictive documentation agreed to at closing and state/federal regulations.
  • Evaluate health of the multifamily portfolio to minimize risk and support sustainable communities during affordability period.
  • Collaborate with management to provide data-driven trend analysis and portfolio performance insights.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Associate's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
