Job summary
BP America Inc. seeks an Asset Optimization Engineer in Houston, hybrid schedule within 50 miles. You will support internal predictions for natural gas demand and translate into pricing strategies, leveraging knowledge of gas composition and pipeline logistics to optimize assets and transport.
You will collaborate with bench origination, market analytics, and teams in Mexico and South Texas to develop asset strategies and manage cross-border relationships. Travel is negligible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a closely related field.
- Two years with natural gas infrastructure and pipelines, storage facilities, LNG terminals, etc.
- Experience using ETRM tools and ICE Exchange for trading and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Support internal predictions for natural gas demand and translate those predictions into pricing strategies.
- Leverage knowledge of gas composition and pipeline logistics to optimize assets and transportation.
- Monitor volumes and costs; perform market analysis to identify price fluctuations.
- Collaborate to develop asset strategies with Mexico and South Texas teams.
- Travel as needed (negligible).
