Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc in San Jose is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to join the Quality and Reliability group, performing advanced FA of ASIC products and driving root cause analysis.

You will collaborate with product test, design, and foundry teams, develop FA processes, and document results. A strong background in FA techniques (cross section, X-ray, CSAM, TEM, FIB, SEM) and experience with SIL/LSM is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in semiconductor failure analysis field.
• Experience writing and executing FA plans and interpreting FA results.
• Experience specifying hardware and setting up dynamic FA with SIL and LSM.
• Experience fault isolation using ATE, Scan/ATPG, MBIST.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause failure analysis of silicon product reliability test and field failures and propose corrective actions.
• Develop and implement standard processes for failure analysis using FA equipment.
• Coordinate logistics and instructions to direct the FA process and perform FA function.
• Document and report failure analysis results to management.
• Serve as a technical resource for failure analysis questions.
• Develop and manage relationships with FA service and equipment vendors.
• Interface with product, test, and design engineering to identify and characterize faults on emerging technologies.
