Job summary

Peraton in New Jersey seeks an Artillery Domain Test Engineer at Picatinny Arsenal. Hybrid role with occasional telework; must be local to work location.

You will devise testing plans, develop methods and equipment, arrange testing labor and scheduling, test customer samples, and produce detailed reports. You will help drive continual improvement through analysis and metrics, and coordinate with development teams.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Experience in testing and test planning for defense systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Devises testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure reliability of product.
• Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
• Plans and arranges labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating devices.
• Provides test area parameters and specifies tests to be performed; compiles data and defines changes.
• Responsible for testing customer samples and field tests when needed.
• Coordinates with development/requirements teams to test applications; analyzes products.
• Develops testing procedures, plans, scripts, and regression tests; implements processes.
• Produces reports on test activity and tracks metrics.
• Monitors process improvements through failure, throughput, and yield analyses.
