Job summary

Peraton is seeking an AFITS Site/Program Manager at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, to lead formal qualification software and system testing for artillery fire control systems. You will oversee up to twenty testers, coordinate with QESA leadership, and manage contract-level HR and reporting duties.

Required are 10+ years in software testing, US citizenship, and ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. AFATDS knowledge and testing process expertise are highly valued.

About The Role

Peraton is seeking an AFITS Site/Program Manager for formal qualification software and system testing of artillery fire control systems in support of the Quality Engineering and System Assurance (QESA) Directorate at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey.

What you will do:

• Provides oversight for up to twenty software and system-level testers.
• Coordinates directly with QESA Management and associates on all testing and contract matters.
• Performs all associated human resources-related duties at the contract and program level for Peraton and its employees at Picatinny Arsenal.
• Coordinates programmatic-level reporting.
• Coordinates all program-level marketing efforts.
• Oversees all software testing tool development, including automated testing.

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance
• Must have detailed knowledge of and experience in software testing

Preferred:

• Field Artillery knowledge with experience in a Fire Direction Center controlling M109A6, M109A7, M777A2s, or Digitized M119s or as a cannon crew member on the same systems
• Strong working knowledge of AFATDS
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance
• Have a basic understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
• Proven ability to perform software root cause analysis
• A+ Hardware Certification
• Ability to evaluate software code according to specifications
• Ability to code and interpret multiple programing languages
• Advanced understanding and knowledge of operating systems
• Experience in automated software testing
• Proficient in development of test procedures and cases based upon requirements
• Good understanding of software design

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
