Job summary

Peraton seeks an Artillery Domain Test Engineer Advisor for the Picatinny Arsenal, NJ office. You will design and execute testing across complex artillery systems, from lab environments to field scenarios, ensuring reliability and compliance with customer specs.

Role requires extensive software testing experience, knowledge of AFATDS or related systems, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. You will collaborate with requirements teams and contribute to test process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive software testing experience.
• US citizen and able to obtain Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of field artillery systems and Fire Direction Center operations.
• Experience designing test plans, scripts, and regression/deployment tests.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to evaluate software code according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure reliability with product design and specs.
• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
• Plan labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluation.
• Provide test parameters, compile data, and define changes to testing or manufacturing processes.
• Responsible for testing customer samples and field tests as needed.
• Coordinate with development/requirements teams to test applications.
• Develop testing procedures, test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional/ regression/dev tests; ensure processes are followed.
• Produce reports on test activities and track metrics.
• Monitor for continual improvement through failure, throughput, yield analysis; report to management.
