Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking an Architect to support design development, production of drawings, and coordination across disciplines on moderately complex projects. You will lead technical document production, supervise project teams, and participate in in-house construction administration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture or Architectural Engineering, NCARB AXP, and 5–10 years of related experience, with LEED/WELL certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• NCARB AXP completion preferred.
• Licensing exams in progress preferred.
• LEED Certification preferred.
• WELL Building Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run small to moderate scale projects with some complexity.
• Establish design parameters (code, site constraints, budget, schedule) and assist in presenting design documents.
• Formulate the project work plan and lead task execution.
• Manage daily activities of the architectural project team and ensure Construction Documents quality.
• Mentor less experienced staff throughout the project.
• Produce schematic design, design development and construction documents.
• Maintain architectural graphics standards and document organization.
• Assist PM with schedule and budget; identify scope changes and their impact.
• Advise the Manager of Architecture on staffing needs for projects.
• Prepare addenda and bulletins related to architectural work.
• Lead coordination of all disciplines and ensure timely information exchange.
• Ensure quality control procedures are enforced during design and documentation.
• Handle in-house construction administration duties (RFIs, shop drawings, bulletins).
• Maintain and improve office standards and production tools.
• Proficient with Revit models, families, and worksets as per standards.
• Knowledge of laser scanning and point clouds.
• Be open to feedback and mentor colleagues for professional growth.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
