Job summary

Prism Medical Products is seeking an Applications Specialist for a hybrid role (8a–5p EST, Monday–Friday). You will serve as the primary contact for users with application issues, troubleshoot software and system problems, and manage support tickets to resolution.

The role emphasizes collaboration across departments and detailed documentation in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate has at least a high school education with an Associate's in a tech field or equivalent

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• Associate's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience; SQL or database experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access) with experience in composing and proofreading materials.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to manage competing tasks while maintaining productivity.
• Flexible to work outside regular hours to address urgent issues or meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary point of contact for users experiencing application-related issues, providing timely and professional support.
• Troubleshoots software, system, and user-access issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Monitors support requests and manages tickets through resolution while maintaining established service level expectations.
• Assists with application configuration, testing, upgrades, and implementations to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborates with internal departments and third-party vendors to investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Documents support activities, troubleshooting steps, system changes, and resolutions accurately within designated systems.
• Provides end-user training and guidance on software functionality, best practices, and new system enhancements.
• Maintains user accounts, security access, and permissions in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements.
• Assists in identifying opportunities for process improvement and system optimization to enhance operational efficiency.
• Creates and updates user guides, knowledge base articles, and support documentation.
• Escalates complex issues as necessary while maintaining ownership and communication throughout the resolution process.
• Supports software testing efforts for new releases, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure systems function as intended.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with employees, patients, providers, and business partners.
• Promotes a positive team environment through collaboration, communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures related to employment, safety, security, privacy, and compliance. Reports any concerns of non-compliance immediately to management.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
