Job summary

Case Western Reserve University is seeking a software developer/analyst to analyze requirements and design high quality applications and reports supporting University Relations and Development. You will research and develop technical requirements and create data configurations and reporting.

You will also troubleshoot performance issues and retain core business knowledge. The role emphasizes ETL, data modeling, SQL, and creating dashboards and data cubes, with hybrid work up to two remote days

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or related field and at least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience; OR Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or related field and 5 years of progressive experience; OR High school education and at least 9 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with fundraising and donor relations data and reporting is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic database theory, design and development practices, including data modeling, data flow and ER analysis.
• Knowledge of SDLC and systems design principles, including web-based environments.
• Strong English communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write programs to extract, translate, load, and verify data; create test data and queries for ETL processes.
• Collaborate to produce analytics, dashboards, and data cubes; perform unit testing and ensure data integrity and security.
• Analyze requirements, design and test application software; support system upgrades and documentation.
