Meridian Technology Group seeks an Application Architect for a State Health Care project. The contract is 1 year with potential extensions, offering a hybrid work model with limited on-site presence in Tallahassee, FL.

The role requires leading enterprise architecture efforts across Azure/AWS, REST/GraphQL APIs, security compliance, and data governance in a regulated Medicaid environment. Strong collaboration with agency staff and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Applications Architect in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Ability to collaborate with agency staff, contractors and vendors.
• Compliance with agency security, confidentiality and data governance requirements.
• Capability to work in a regulated environment with state/federal data compliance.
• Participation in meetings/design sessions/technical reviews as directed.
• Knowledge transfer to agency staff upon request.
• Provide timely staff replacement if performance is unsatisfactory.
• Maintain competencies throughout engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead application architecture for state health care transformation.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Ensure APIs, data integration, and security patterns align with enterprise standards.
• Oversee deployment pipelines, observability, and reliability practices.
