Job summary

KIPP TEAM & Family in Newark, NJ is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to support day‑to‑day accounts payable activities and partner with the AP Manager. This hybrid role involves processing PO‑backed invoices, vendor inquiries, and collaborating with Accounting, Purchasing, and Technology to optimize workflows.

Qualified candidates will have 1–5 years in AP, a Bachelor’s degree, and experience with Coupa or Sage Intacct, along with strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–5 years of accounts payable experience in a high‑volume environment.
• Experience with Coupa or Sage Intacct preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated customer service and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase order‑backed invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review, validate, and enter invoices with proper GL coding and PO matching.
• Support timely payment execution and follow up on approvals.
• Maintain documentation for all AP transactions per internal controls.
