Austin Powder is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to handle high-volume, full-cycle payables with strong accounting knowledge. The role requires accuracy, problem solving, and the ability to work under pressure both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities include 3-way matching, vendor payments, and researching inquiries, while gaining exposure to Canadian accounts payable, in a hybrid Beachwood, OH environment with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or business management.
• 3+ years of accounts payable work experience.

Responsibilities

• Gain a complete understanding of the accounts payable software system.
• Verify the accuracy of system input vendor invoices and confirm correct GL codes.
• Perform 3-way match on all inventory purchases (PO, receiving doc, vendor invoice).
• Generate payments to vendors on a routine schedule with proper remittance information.
• Research and respond to internal client and outside vendor inquiries clearly and professionally.
• Gain an understanding of the nuances of Canadian accounts payable.
• The A/P Supervisor may delegate additional tasks as needed.
