Job summary

Allegion Canada Inc. is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and evaluate AI agents that automate and augment work across Allegion. Embedded with teams, you translate needs into requirements and create safe, high‑quality agents with reusable patterns.

You will collaborate with data scientists, business partners, and other AI teams, prioritizing use cases and applying responsible-AI practices to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years delivering AI, software, or data solutions, including hands-on work with LLM-based applications or agents.
• Experience designing and building AI agents with tool use and data integration.
• Strong Python and cloud platform experience; Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable.
• Demonstrated ability to define evaluations for AI systems and maintain human-in-the-loop oversight.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Allegion teams to learn processes and identify where AI agents add measurable value.
• Translate business processes into clear agent requirements, scope, and success criteria.
• Design and build safe, reliable AI agents with reusable patterns and templates.
• Define success metrics and implement evaluations for accuracy and regression over time.
• Determine human-in-the-loop checkpoints for client-facing outputs and systems of record.
• Pilot agents with business users and lead acceptance testing before rollout.
• Partner with data scientists and AI teams to prioritize use cases and align delivery.
• Apply responsible-AI practices and stay current with agentic AI advances.
