Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking an AI Data Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering data assets, AI data products, and data platforms supporting BI, analytics, ML, and generative AI use cases. You will own the AI data engineering roadmap, drive cross-team collaboration, and ensure secure, observable, and scalable data solutions.

The role requires 10+ years in data/AI engineering and 3+ years of technical leadership, with strong background in Python, SQL, Spark,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data/AI engineering or related discipline including production delivery of scalable data solutions.
• 3+ years of direct technical leadership of teams.
• Advanced understanding of data/AI platform architecture, data pipelines, and model data delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a diverse team of data engineers, ML platform engineers, and software engineers.
• Translate GPSC/Data org strategies into actionable AI data engineering roadmaps and objectives.
• Oversee architecture, delivery, and operational health of scalable data and AI capabilities across batch, streaming, and real-time workloads.
• Drive MLOps/LLMOps patterns, data/model versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, and retraining triggers.
• Build and maintain data contracts, lineage, governance, and security across data products.
