Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, seeks an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer for Fan and Compressor Mechanical design and analysis of turbomachinery components for gas turbine engines.

You will work with the FanC team, perform design/analysis/simulation, and contribute to continuous improvement of methods. Travel up to 15% is possible; initial onsite for 90 days with later hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, tech, engineering or math).
• 3+ years of mechanical design/analysis experience in turbomachinery components.
• 3+ years of FEA experience with ANSYS/APDL/Mechanical or equivalent.
• Fluent in reading/writing/speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Design rotating and static turbomachinery components (rotors, stators, blisks, disks, impellers).
• Perform modal, vibration, deflection, fatigue, thermal and stack analyses with FEA.
• Support testing and data reduction for engines/modules across life cycle stages.
• Create documentation of engineering results and present at design reviews.
• Contribute to mentoring, process/tool improvements, and knowledge capture.
