Job summary

University of Washington seeks an Admissions Counselor to recruit and advise prospective undergraduate students (Transfer and First Year) to meet enrollment targets and strengthen UW Bothell’s profile. You will counsel students through meetings, sessions, and digital channels; coordinate recruitment events; and assist with holistic admissions reviews.

This role requires collaboration with campus programs and external partners, and a hybrid on-campus/remote schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in education, Communications, Business, Psychology, or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in recruiting, advising, counseling or similar with diverse populations in education.
• Applicants who do not meet qualifications will not be forwarded to the Hiring Manager.

Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students through in-person meetings, sessions, phone, email, or web.
• Deliver information sessions and build relationships with UW Bothell programs and departments.
• Maintain knowledge of academic programs, financial aid, and admission requirements to advise students.
• Develop and implement recruitment plans for programs and territories, including events and college visits.
• Utilize CRM to generate reports and aid in recruitment planning.
• Generate applications and enrollments through referrals and program partnerships.
• Support all recruitment and advising activities for the Office of Admissions.
• Lead outreach to diverse populations and participate in on-campus events like Preview Days.
• Conduct holistic application reviews and serve on admissions committees as needed.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure timely processing of applications and updates to records.
• Attend department and university events and provide campus tours as needed.
