Job summary

The University of Western States is seeking an Admissions Counselor to support prospective students through the recruitment and application processes, helping applicants evaluate programs, schedules, and costs.

This hybrid role requires strong customer service, communications, and CRM skills; you will work with staff, faculty, and feeder institutions, travel as needed, and participate in recruitment events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree encouraged but not required.
• At least 1 year of recruitment or admissions experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends and some travel.

Responsibilities

• Advise prospective students on admissions requirements and application processes.
• Articulate the university’s mission and value to applicants.
• Provide high-quality customer service throughout the admission process.
• Maintain timely communication with inquiries and applicants.
• Conduct telephone, virtual, and in-person consultations to assess goals and explain programs.
• Lead and manage inquiries in Salesforce; document activities.
• Participate in recruitment events and travel as needed.
• Engage with feeder institutions and build professional relationships.
