Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking a Staff Actuary in Chicago to apply statistics, financial theory, mathematics, and actuarial principles across pricing, underwriting, reserving, and forecasting.

The role requires ASA and MAAA, at least 3 years' actuarial experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Word and Excel; hybrid work with in-office 3 days per week; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
• ASA designation and MAAA membership.
• At least 3 years actuarial experience.
• Verbal and written communications skills to prepare documentation, facilitate training and presentations.
• PC proficiency to include Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Apply statistics, financial theory, mathematics and actuarial principles to assess company decisions.
• Manage pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting and other actuarial functions.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to different audiences; manage small projects within Actuarial.
