Medical Mutual in Brooklyn, OH offers a 3-days-onsite hybrid actuarial internship during the summer, giving students hands-on experience with trend analyses, medical claims data, and BI tools. You’ll work alongside experienced actuaries and analysts on real projects that influence healthcare decisions across Ohio.

You'll develop skills in Excel, SQL, Power BI, and data visualization while learning actuarial concepts and credential pathways.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 (3.0 GPA preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, volunteer, or work experiences.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 12 consecutive weeks. Three days onsite in the Brooklyn, OH headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify healthcare cost and utilization trends.
• Analyze member and claims data to identify drivers of financial performance.
• Develop and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytical models.
• Present findings to actuarial and business leaders.
